Title: Dry storage solved?
Post by: burnerboy on October 05, 2020, 08:57 PM
Hey guys and gals,

Just thought I'd share this with you.

As I currently store all my bikes in the shed I was starting to get a bit concerned about damp etc, I do have a few of the basic moisture traps situated around the shed and was surprised how much moisture they collect.

Hopefully I have attached a pic of what I am now trying.
They sell them as motorcycle vac bags.
I was a bit reluctant on buying it as cost ?40 but if it works it's money well spent.

The kit consists of a large strong plastic bag which I recon positioned right you could fit 5 BMXs in.
A moisture drisorb sack and indicator that you place in the bag and a zip tie to seal the end.

The theory is that once you seal the bag all the air the moisture pack has to deal with is what's in the bag.
The indicator is currently showing dry!

Spose also keeps the dust off too.

I will do a follow up review once I get them out of hibernation.

Stay safe out there.
