And now for something completely different! Far from old school but what I like to think of as old school carbon, I present to you my 2010 GT Power Series Ultrabox 2, otherwise known as the "UB2" to GT aficionados. The full story on this Marmite monocoque is posted here:-

http://www.radbmx.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,196241.0.html

...but in short, I picked up the bike in Sept and have been slowly chopping, changing and replacing parts to the point where it's now ready to race again. The first two pics are before and after shots to highlight the transformation from overweight frankenbike to rejuvenated race rig, with a couple of other photos that show off that fat slab of carbon. The full build spec is as follows:-

Frame: 2010 GT Power Series Ultrabox 2 (carbon fibre monocoque, 21" tt);
Fork: Answer Dagger Pro (carbon fibre);
Headset: PRO Bikegear RS-11, semi-integrated, threadless (made by Cane Creek);
Spacers: KCNC and Promax;
Stem: Elevn (50mm);
Bars: Renthal Moto 20XL (29" x 8.25");
Grips: Tioga lock-on;
Brake lever: Shimano XTR;
Brake caliper: Shimano XT Deore;
Brake Cable: Shimano;
Seat: Tioga D-Spyder (railed);
Seatpost: Profile Design O3 (carbon, cut-down);
Cranks: Rotor 3DF 3-piece road bike cranks (175mm arms);
Bottom Bracket: Rotor BSA30;
Chainring: Renthal SR4 Ultralite (44T);
Pedals: DMR V12 (magnesium);
Chain: KMC Z610HX;
Wheelset: Sunn Envy rims (20" x 1.75" x 36H) with Profile Elite hubs (16T cog);
Tyres: Maxxis DTH (20" x 1.75");
