i was born 21/12/72, raced nationals at hounslow, kellogs at cocks moor, regionals at hereford, cheltenham and some other southe central(?) places? i think.
the only person i can remember racing against was cy something (shearer?) who i think rode for torker. the entire field went down at cocks moor apart from me (at the back) and this bloke got up and still beat me.
-
i raced from 1984 to 1987 and i am near 33 lol 28/11/1972, but you needed to take the boat to race against me :)
-
I am 18, so it can't be me...
-
cymruambyth, hmmmm I also raced the regionals and hereford, I raced Kellogs at Coxmoor, raced cheltenham a few times, what is your name ?

rhys roberts, race numbers were 4109 and 1284 (blueplate one? cant remember which was which organisation) i would bet you dont know me as i never made it out of motos at the regional or national level. originally from wales and used to race with a large swansea/cardiff based crew

Name does not ring a bell Rhys, still it matters not about getting out of the moto's it was the taking part that counts, and boy was it good fun bitd !

FR David, tell us about bmx in france in the 80's
Any french bike brands that were sought after etc!
-
in early 80's Motobecane, Gitane and Peugeot were the most popular, in 1986 Motobecane became MBK, Gitane and Peugeot stopped their product but another brand was growing. It was called MX france before 1985 and after named Sunn, i think MBK and Sunn produced the biggest part of french BMX..
-
i read an interview in DIG mag with alex dropsy (who rides for twenty velocross) and i'm sure he mentioned he was employed by the french gevernment to teach kids how to ride bmx. how cool is that! and the bloke does mental jumps with no brakes
-
I was born 18/08/71 and am now 34 Gulp!! Used to race at Buckmore, Folkestone and Hounslow

Have you seen the Buckmore Park Thread under parks, tracks and gatherings - if you've got any photos add them. :)
