I want a plate on my Redline PL24. In the past I have run this.

Are there any cruiser specific plates. Show me some pics or make some suggestions guys. Did Redline have a team spec plate ?
-
What bars are you running?
zeronine moto control?
custom made plate?

San, I didn't want to use any of the modern (ugly) number plates on my cruiser so I bought a red Uni Pro Plate and cut it down to the size I wanted. Looks ace if I do say so myself, I will post a picture later when I get home from work.
-
Thanks Tony, I want something more in keeping for 83/84.
Dan, I hope to get some PL24 Cruiser Bars, so will have a wide cross bar.
Sean, sounds interesting ???
-
Oh I thought you went all new school on us mate...Post a few pics up mate :daumenhoch:

My old and trusty PL24. Will have a few minor changes, including bars in due course.

uni turbo mini plate if the spread is enough :o)

After a long seach I found a Zeronine Mini Flow and it looks perfect. Mini plats are best for cruiser I reckon. One of those J2 Micro Minis would be spot on if I could find one. In the meantime the other cruiser will have to make do a Series One sailboard.
-
Zeronine did a nice cruiser plate...It's worth looking at old school mini's too...
You'll just have to make sure they're wide enough, especially if you get hold of the original redline bars...
-
I used mini paltes on my cruiser in the 80s, my Tom Lynch signature URP one was the fave. :daumenhoch:
These days I use an ugly modern one on my ugly modern cruiser (or I would if I ever bothered to race it). ;)
-
No what you mean fox i ended up selling my rm24 just hardly used it i stick to 20 inch 24 seemed a bit clumbsy just me . :2funny:

Yeah Cheers Tony. It's a little on the yellow side for my bike. Do number plates take dye ?

San have you thought about spraying it!! I know a couple who did it with reaqsonable results

Hmmmm, I bet I'd use the wrong paint and melt it. I have one of the larger Turbo Pro plates, I could do like Stidds and trim that to shape. Everyones a winner.
-
My favourite plate for looks on my 24" bitd was an MRD mini.
-
Just get a cheap new skool and chop it..heres mine
