I am not sure if it's an RA10 or RA9? Like a Looptail Ripper but with round tubing instead. The welds on this are really nice

What size is the frame as it looks like it was not designed for skinnies looking at how close that front wheel is to the underside of the fork!
-
Nice bike - very clean and crisp looking.
Where di you manage to get the pads, I have been looking for some for a while now, just don't seem to see them!!
-
the frame does look on the small side , is this the one jj was sellin a while back ?? maybe its a junior or exp .. what is the t/t lenght
-
Very nice...Great build..
-
Thanks for the nice comments guys ;)
To answer some questions the Top Tube is 17.5" which I think could make it a RA9? definately a junior or expert size Frame anyway.
The Padset I got from ebay.com a while back minus the padding.
Thanks from bodamus :daumenhoch:

Ian,
Just measured my frame and it is 17" centre to centre. I'm looking through my old mags at the moment to find a Race Inc ad I'll post details as and when I find it. It may help id yours.

Paul

Typical, just as I post the last message I turn a page and see an ad.
Here's the scoop. The RA 9 description from BMX Action ad March 84.
The Ra-9 is for riders who are not quite fully grown. The same frame that Kevin McDougal rode to win the 1983 NBL National #1 title in the 11 year expert class. 100% American made of 6061 seamless drawn aluminium tubing., heli-arc welded, then heat-treated to a T-6 hardness. Weighs in at a scant 3lbs 6oz with no rider weight restriction. The RA-9 comes in black, blue, red or gold anodized and black, blue, red or white epoxy paint. Also available in ball burnished.
No gussets on the frame at the headtube or the bb.
Looks like a very rare RA-9 lucky boy :daumenhoch:
