my db is from 1984 ive decided to fit 20.175 back and front i usually run a 20.2.125 on the front i know this is a personal decision what do you run up front ? skinny has a real racing look 80's style
-
all down to preference me ol china :daumenhoch:
on me ripper,i run front fat / rear skinny , just looks right
on me goose , i run front fat / rear fat , this also looks right
-
the reason i ask is i noticed in looking in old 84 bmx plus a lot of people back then where using 175 back and front i used fat front and skinny back 'in 84 but my db looks good so ill leave it for now :daumenhoch: but im sure you all have preferences .on my new bike i run as fat as poss back and front more shock on landing but i ride street with a bit of trails.I rode the old db at iford track with the skinny set up it was good, :daumenhoch:

aye 175 front n back, less grip but nimbler feel
-
On my os race bike I use 1.75 front & rear, but on my new school I do run 2.1 front and 1.75 rear.
-
1.75 front 'n' rear gives the 80's feel. I run 2.1 front and 1.95 rear on my mags and 1.95 front and 1.75 rear on me Alex rims. I prefer Maxxis Holy Rollers, what's the fave tyre out there????
-
skinny front and back on my bike now , but bitd fat front skinny rear :daumenhoch:
-
i prefer to see to skinnies for a show bike but to ride gota be a fat front ...
-
For Old School, I always use 1.75 front and rear. New school I use 1.75 rear and 1.95 front.
-
sod looks grip is what yer need , more tyer on hard surface = more grip , on soft wide flotes on top n slips
so depends what yer doin i spose

I usually ride fats front and rear but my robinson I just built won't take a fat on the back as a lot of OS BMX's won't I think.
