Hi folks,
Anyone have a good solution for cleaning some old compIII skinwalls ?
Just the wall of the tyres... nothing else.
I've given a rub over with fairy liquid and a sponge... what next ?
If I scrub hard the it'll start threading, probably.
cheers

Just hot water, fairy liquid and a sponge works for me.
So, you've probably done as much as you can.

get a soft toothbrush and neat washing up liquid, then rinse, worked well for me :daumenhoch:

Thanks folks.. I will keep scrubin' using the same method. Will also try the toothbrush technique. :daumenhoch:
thanks again

owen , i use a tyre restorer foam by wynns , it cleans and protects at the same time
you can use it on the whole trye and it works a treat it adds a silicon compound into the rubber and prevents more cracking

The walls are a bit dry and crusty too. :-\ That stuff sounds like it could help.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Wynns-Tyre-Clean-Sheen-750ml/dp/B0001P1AYE
i have used a whole can lol
it does remove loose dirt without aggitating , but i cleeaned mine of crud with a toothbrush and washing up liquid first
it leaves a sheen to start with but it seems to soak in after a week or so and seems stop tyres drying and cracking further, or so i have thought

I use 'Astonish', it comes in tubs and is a paste. I put this on an old toothbrush and it cleans the tyres superbly.
