Cook's cranks with Cook Bros. BB set with titanium spindle. Sunshine hubs with titanium (or was it magnesium) axles. This (French) oldschool bike is so light, unbelievable! Tubes were attached with glue. Unreal light! 1984, a true classic! Though, not every person was that fond of it. Look at the angle of the fork! Most Vitus bikes were not ridden with these forks. Most of the time TANGE MITY-LITE forks, same lightness, but not that steep! For your viewing pleasure.

Sander

I actually tested a Vitus frame for about 2 months bitd for Peugeot, it was the Pro model but with the glued frame.  Very nice frame, extremely light and suprisingly little flex.  Wish I still had that frame now.

...perhaps this is that Peugeot as it came from your country and used to had Peugeot decals... in the Benelux there were other decals > VITUS, green with blue. Man, wanted always to have this bike (for what reason? I don't know! ;D ;D)

I also can remember there was a test;

These were often stickered Peugeot in the UK ( where did you get yours Sander?)

I have a Vitus stickered one (cheers Lee)  and the tubing is anodized red. I also saw a test on one in bi-weekly where it was stickered Hutch!

It didn't have the Vitus forks on, I think we used Tange or Tioga Aero forks.
