Hi Radsters :daumenhoch:, ok this is my first venture into midschool, not knowing anything about midschool until about 2-3 weeks ago, and certainly did not know anything about the GT Vertigo.
Thanks to Fishface for selling the ride, great one bud :daumenhoch:. As soon as I saw it up for sale, all normal logic went outta the window, just had to buy it :smitten: .I've since added a few o/s bits like Victor Beartrap pedals, Tange seatclamp, Big cheese grips, Dia compe 901 Brakeset, new whitewalls, peregrine seat. I'm just awaiting delivery of a branded GT seat from ebay and that will be about it I reckon. It's far from show & shine but I just loved the look of the bike, a real impulse purchase.....a bit of a pimpmybmx??? Any suggestions or thoughts greatfully received.

I like that, I bought one of these for a tenner a few months ago, not as nice as yours though :daumenhoch:

Cheers Ratty, a tenner , what sort of shape is it in...complete bike?
Tell ya, I've been polishing it (the GT!!!) like a mad thing when I got it last Friday. There are a few marks here and there, but nowt major, just well pleased with it.

Mine is complete, but been ridden by a chav and left in the garden for a year, so plenty of surface rust. Ive saved it for the long winter as its gonna take a lot of polishing. Im kinda looking forward to it....NOT ;)

I like it :) Love the handlebar grips 8)

Cheers :) They're Big Cheese Grips, Alans stock them but I think they have limited colours left, cost £12.99. They're quite long compared to other grips but something different I thought.

With you on those grips! and nice looking ride mate :daumenhoch:
Gotta love white walls! :smitten:

Those frames are pretty underrated, I picked up a similar-shaped Performer for peanuts in the mid-late 90s and rode it without any probs till its retirement -due to a bad dent on the seatstay (inflicted by a 3rd-party).
Some folks don't like GT, but they're probably basing that on the stuff put out after the company went under.
Nice job.

that looks sweet.

They are excellent frames. When I had mine I drilled a hole through the bottom of the seat tube and ran Pitbull's on the rear. I'm actually on the look out for another.

I think you'd better make it quick, I saw one on everyone's fave auction site that cost more than the one I bought in 199? Seems that interest's growing for midschool GT rides.
