Title: RARE PLATES FOR YOUR VIEWING PLEASURE
Post by: baldbmxer on November 01, 2006, 05:36 PM
After seeing Lucytastic's post and pics of her old Gary Ellis plate I thought I'd post pictures of these to I have.

Both came from Melanie Vauvelle. The Haro 'YOP' plate was hers when she rode the mightly YOP race at the
Bercy stadium in Paris in 1985 I think.

I'm guessing the original Zeronine IBMXF plate came from the Worlds in Slagharen in roughly 83? - thats a complet guess!
It was possibly won by a Hutch rider as it has an old Hutch rub-on decal on the reverse.

I think the black Zeronine plate could have been that of Andy Patterson, in his Skyway days.  If you check this photo from Wigan back in 1984, the plate looks very similar

This plate belongs to a very good friend of mine who won in it a raffle at the Kelloggs Championships

Unfortunately, it's a bit battered now but the pictures speak for themselves  :D

Great plates JJ .......I have this plate , it was given to me by a friend who again won it at a raffle , possibly a kelloggs meet or bike show back then , anyway he reckons all the plates where given by top riders , he says some of the stickers were added by him , but you can see in big letters the word DELBERT along the bottom as it must have been cut out by hand and left marks on the plate , could be nothing , anybody any ideas ????

I can't believe someone cut the wings off the plate  :'( . You can see in the pics it is slightly modified just not to this extent ! .
