it was made to ride so i rode it its pretty smashed up but im sure evel would want it that way . still only a few bad dents ,its not bent though in anyway you need a tank to roll over it to bend it, strong as hell i love the drop outs no need a bash guard.

well the bars are easy to do cos they only hoffman jump bars just need the stickers for it , i got a set if you need to get em copied as i been in touch with hoffman and there is no chance to get them anymore , as for the seat i will wait in line as i will only break it anyway. the sprocket im sure you could get done as well.
and yes i have occasionly taken it rom but its breakless and scares the shit outa me

Cheers Pat - I'd love to get hold of those decals to do a scan of, then I can get some repros done. Naturally, I'll hook you up with a couple of sets so you never have to use the originals mate.  :daumenhoch:

Yeah, the sprocket looks fairly easy to repro as well...have you got one of those I can scan too? And the seat...fingers crossed for both of us...I've seen the aftermarket fat one around, but the original from the complete bike, that's another story. Let's both keep our eyes peeled and I'm sure we'll both get sorted eventually!

Cheers mate

Dave

It certainly was...and it had a more conventional frame shape. Nice though.

You get NOS complete's turning up on the bay now and then with dreamers trying to cash in on them, never seem to sell though.

Yeah, I've seen a couple over the last few months...both were lightly used though.

Mine is one of the framesets they sold alongside the completes. So, I don't know how I'm going to build it yet...i.e. replicate a complete, or build it with better parts...hmmmmm

 :)

Don't want you breaking that Hoffman up though...it just looks so right!  The blue matches perfectly.

Sound nice Pat...would you go for the black Primo cranks like on the 01 EK? That looks sweet.

I've pretty much decided I'm not going to try to re-create a 'complete', as this F&F was sold as a frameset only...so I want to go for something a bit different...not sure what yet, but I've got a few ideas.

Lazychubs told me about that 007 EK - track the little git down and have it!!!

Nice one mate.

But I did manage to get a Mint NOS seat from Canada after 3 months of searching and £70 later.

My friendly local bike shop (thanks Rich!) gave me a 2001 HB Catalogue today, which is the last year they sold the Evel Knievel...had some quite nice info in, so I thought I'd share with the group...  ;)

Complete Page

EK1 - note the Primo Powerbite cranks on this 2nd Gen complete EK, but still uses the 98 frame & fork

EK1 - Spec
(http://www.radbmx.co.uk/archive/albums/b292/stodgy1/evelek1spec.jpg)

EK1 - Frame Plate (the complete bike carries 'Complete Bike' on the plate, unlike mine which says 'Frame & Fork Series'

EK WEMBLEY Edition - this one has the black padded seat, similar to the white sparkly aftermarket one of 98

EK WEMBLEY Edition - Spec

Just been going through some old Ride magazines and found the press release for the forthcoming EK special edition in the news section of the Aug/Sept 98 issue. It's interesting because the bike shown is a modified Condor (a bigger gusset welded in) with painted love handles, a plain black seat and chainring...clearly they had a re-think before final production.

build it up and jump some buses

 ;D

Consider it done.

yay!!

seriously though, what a photo it would be if you set up some ramps and jumped a car on it, in an evel k suit.

or find some one to do the jump for you ;)

i bet there are some stuntmen on here ready to take up the challenge . . . . . .
