Post by: IainB on September 26, 2005, 01:11 PM
Had a few people say this isnt what I thought it was....
So - anyone have any ideas on the frame and forks - can get further photos if needed
Cheers
Iain

OK - just got back from the garage, hope these help identify itĀ  :)
Took some rough measurements of the top and down tubes. Top measures 17" / 43cms Bottom measures 17.5" / 44.5cms
I also noticed that when the bike was upside down the bottom tube has Reynolds 501 butted stamped into it, though I couldnt find anything else

Nice frame

Sorry to drag this up again....
Things have gone very t*ts up at home, house is up for sale, dragster up for sale, and now quite possibly the BMX up for sale, just hope we can pull our marriage back togetherĀ  :(
Anyway, before I go to E-Bay can anyone confirm that this is a Firebird Delta II from the other pictures i posted.
Also, any guidlines as to what this could be expected to reach, the bars appear to be genuine CW's, frame / forks OK (could do with a bit of polish) but otherwise in OK condition
Much appreciated
Iain

It screams DP to me, but the Brake bridge is all wrong.

I cant put my finger on it,  will say, its ALL DP but the brake bridge, but saying that I have had 3 or 4 delta's and they have all been different.

Saying that, i have 3 Firebird Freestylers that are all slightly different

Brake bridge looks the same as the Little & Large advert you posted, with the Delta II without a gusset. Doesn't it?

I would think the one's they used in their adverts were deffo DP's. Yours may not have been of course.. ;)
