I'll find out at some point Billy (just might take alot of looking through old BMX +'s) they were nice and cheap off the bay and they are heading for next years Freeagent Limo OS race bike.
-
I had a set similar to those (but 1.75) in the mid nineties and they were called Sun Chinook rims.
-
i had those sun rims on a low end bike (brand new) in 1996
they were nice rims. still got them
-
Freeagent Limo OS race bike.
Looking forward to seeing that Andy - what year is it ?
-
Cheers Laz I was hoping it was them as they will be about the right age for the bike.
They are only single skin rims but seem to be pretty thick metal so I think they will last me OK as well.
Kev the Limo is a 91 I think. It was the one Darren Flint was trying to ride before it fell apart on him. I'm doing it with 185 GT profiles / GT superlace hubs and Pitbull / MX900 brake set up the rest I'll make up as I go along but can't decide on a colour to paint it yet (defo not purple as bikes that colour seem to have something against me :2funny:). Where did you get your stickers?
Cheers

91 sweet :daumenhoch:
decals from shawn (kastanman i think) over on VBMX
i saw some in the for sale section only last night for for script style decals - he had 3 sets
they are spot on - think they change to block around 89 though
so if you want the block type bmx museum had those i seem to remb
need them for the cruiser i have thats a 91 as well
but not brought any of these yet so don't know how good they are
but reckon cos they are simple style some one on here could knock some up easy
Also Galin Starlin is over VBMX mid school and as a ex factory free agent he's the source of all info !
and i think his dad managed the team for a while as well
lets hope the purple curse don;'t follow you to this one then - lol

Cheers Kev much appriciated mate I'd probably be after the block ones as they are the ones on the bike at the minute (and match the padset).
The next problem is sneaking past the wife to get to MK next year "just poping down the shops on me bike dear, back Sunday (slam)".
