My contact has just informed me that he's recently obtained an official licence from GT to reproduce their old school pads :daumenhoch:
I've bought two sets now and they're both fantastic quality and very affordable

Web site: www.bmxnwest.com
Email addy: Justin@bmxnwest.com
Justin deserves all the credit and support he can get. He's worked hard to get GT's approval and at last the pads are available to buy without breaking any laws
Go get 'em guys and gals :daumenhoch:

steve does he do se and how much mate :daumenhoch:

I'm not sure . . . SE Pads would require another licence to reproduce ;)
Steve
-
any way of distinguishing them from originals or should I sell my non flite originals now
-
From memory I think my pads are date stamped on the under side to show they are repros :daumenhoch:

I've had a few sets too, and they're alright
-
no stem pads? 302zapper will be upping the price on his singles ;D
-
Heya fellas.
Thanks Steve for putting this up here.
The pads are marked permanently with the year (2006) they were made. Don't sell those originals yet ;)
The art has been reworked and are now dead ringers for originals.
I am only making the frame and bar pads right now as they were all that was available for the earliest sets.
The website is www.bmxnwest.com (http://www.bmxnwest.com)
I'm working on getting the store up and running so don't try to checkout yet if you are able to add to the cart.
It's a work in progress and you guys are the first to really see it in this state.
Thanks for the support, it's been a long time getting there. Currently these are the only sets that I am licensed to do, but some other brands do not require prior approval to make so keep an eye out. 8)
Pics of the new sets will be on the site very soon.
feel free to email me at tha above addy.
Cheers,
Justin

And here is the showcase. Ya have to scroll down, the php code is giving me hassles.

They're $55 US shipped airmail in new boxes. You'll not be let down.
I only have the frame and bar pads as they were all that was made in the early days.

I will be making neck pads too in the future. I have an original yellow from 302Z and have about 6 yellow sets printed as a test run. The seamstress cost on them is spendy though.
Feel free to browse my site and email me if you like.
We can chat about the pads or GT's, or.. whatever.
Cheers

any chance you will update on here when chrome sets and white sets are available, my memory sucks....
-
I'll make it a point to.
I actually have white sets as well. They were done before the final samples were sent to GT and are minutely different.
The difference was that the whites and the old sets did not have a 100% correct feather on the right side next to the "X"
You'll see what I mean if you compare the blue and white sets
(http://www.bmxnwest.com/images/whitepads.jpg)
I don't have white foam though so they look like the ones on my machone here
(http://www.bmxnwest.com/images/machonedone.jpg)
PM Me for info on the whites.
I made a run of the chromes and intend to do them later.
I need a really close pic of chrome ones to do them right. The ones I made were nice, but not perfect. ;)
