Title: what's it worth
Post by: Moschops on November 28, 2006, 08:28 PM
O K guy's what would a 1982 raleigh fire burner (the white one with misted red) be worth in the following condition:

All parts original....even the break levers which I used to snap about every 8 weeks! :LolLolLolLol:
Paint scuffed in the usual places forks, rear loop's chain guard. :(
All chrome totaly shot, even wheels. ???
Seat scuffed and grips slightley split. :'(
Steam pad missing :-\

I have been asked to make an offer on it and I'm not sure what to go in at.
And before any one say's don't bother this bike has a special place in my heart as it was my first BMX. :4_17_5:

Many thanks.

can't ever remember a fire burner??

but by the sound of your description i'd go for about £20?

sounds like you've got to do quite a bit of work to get it back to it's original state?

Raleigh Extra Burner... [this one belongs to me..]

I paid £62 for this on eBay 2 years ago... was my first BMX too...
Obviously spent a few quid restoring it...

Not everyone's cup of tea.. especially on here but for sentimental reasons... I love her...  :smitten:

seen quite a few on the bay of late mate.....seem to go for anything around £20-£60??

I can remember when the extra burner came out............in Stevenage at Bowes Lion skate park we all rushed over to Halfords in the town centre to have a look at it in the window.........then went in to see what cheap Landar crap we could nick!  ;)

Thanks for the advise and way cool pics guys....paid £30.00 for it today I think I'll just put some alex rims I've got kickin around on it and race it over the winter, then start a restoration in the spring.

If anyone has a stem pad for it let me know.
