...let's face it. It is not about a frame to personalize your bike. It is the numberplate. Your most desired stickers, your must faithfull commends which needed to take you to that title. Your most favorite girlfriend or friend pictured on it...
or not?
-
i always stick a plate on every bike i build...........love em
-
i must admit i like to see them on old race bikes.
-
not a fan of plates, but i do like the zeronine stuff and circuit board.
-
IT IS NOT ABOUT THE PLATE ITSELF WHICH it makes it so personal, but it is what you stick on it. Just like your wiener btw... ;D
-
huhhh sorry about that just don't pay attention to that...
-
its not about number plates for me, its about seats, i wouldnt mind someone sniffing me plate, but me seat thats a totaly different thing ;D

Here is my original - BITDÂ NBMXA oficial 6 wm ranking plate.
I hated these things in their original size, so you will see I personally customised mine for a better fit to me old powerlite powerbend bars !!
(BIKE IS NOT MY ORIGINAL JMC FROM BITD - Damm sold it for £60)
LOL  - 2o years old !! Ahhhhh Memories

I'll think about that next time I'm on the gate next to you mr mini. :-*
I love my old plates with my old NMBXA and UKBMX rankings on them, every scratch and every mark has a story and a scar to go with it. I've of some old Tom Lynch signature ones, and my fave a old Zeronine war paint one with four sides.
I do leave a plate on my current race bike quite a lot, I forget it when I go to races if I take it off.
Plates are cool no matter what the cool gang say. 8)

Hi all
I reckon a plate is personal and special. I had mine signed on the back by the numerous pro riders I met, and when on the gate, would always tilt my head down, look at the signatures - smile then BANG.......... pedal like mad.... ;)
I'll have to dig it out (I saw it a few months ago and it still has good clear signatures on)
Cheers

I used to love my old plates too. I always tried to do something with it with my limited budget...
This yr I have got Big Daddy Plates to design one with a 'history' of all the logos of all the bikes I've ever had down one side. Only a short list, but Scorpian, JMC, MRD, Cyclecraft, GT and Dialled plus my new one, Intense. Had to put a cheeky little copy of my British Champs plate on there too...
cheers

wholeheartedly agree with the statement...
and for me an OS BMX bike isn't complete without one (just my opinion, don't stress!) my
daily ride has a blank zeronine plate on it... just as every bike i've owned has had (mostly
cut-down Haros)
loved seeing that benetton sticker! you didn't have 'that' rugby shirt too did ya?!

Here's a few from my collection, missing a few national #1 and 01 plated tho :D

BITD i managed to get Jeff Barraclough to do personalised paint jobs, i'll see if i can find some pics :daumenhoch:
My faves tho were the blank UGP plates that u could paint yourself, i spent hours with pots of airfix paint shading and mixing to get em to match my race gear :smitten:
