The mate of mine who told me about that footage is a BIG Campbell fan.

He has got an old GT mallet stem that used to belong to Campbell. I think he keeps it under his pillow.

Cool footage.

Cant believe Fiola beat Dominguez at that comp. Opposite airs, big 540, no foot can-can.

The Combi Pool footage is interesting, that place looks HARSH

Great vid clips thanks - That bowl looks fooking hard to ride, loads of vert. It's a long run too, they all look nackered at the end of the run. Yeah - CC done really well in that contest for a non-local boy. I remember when he and Neil came back from that contest, they were so used to riding loads of vert at Pipeline that they would jack up the back of Skyway q-pipe to give it more vert, the rest of us hated it jacked up like that, made for some sketchy landings.  :tickedoff:

That chrome Prolight with Green Tuffs and components was so fresh looking. One of my fav's.

I think I was told once that Craig had only had one day to ride pipeline before the comp, if that is true craig was more awesome than I thought as he was as good as Fiola for me. If only neil had ridden that day . Blyther was the best followed by M D .

I went to that comp.  Hugo's crash was bad.  Cement is hard.  Besides his injury the unfortunate thing for the rest of us was that we didn't get to see what he was doing the night before - downside footplants on the back fence.  Yup, he'd pulled a couple and was ready to turn it loose that day.   Campbell was smooth.  I wish I could have got to see Neil ride.
