and i have to do six of the merts

right first one took 4 of us to fit and loads of cable ties lol
second one i left it on me warm engine
so was a tad more flexible but still use cable ties to hold the bit you got on so far
didnt use the cement tho as havent a clue how you get it under the tyre lol
as they so bloody tight to the rim

i used sew ups on my road racer when i raced they are a pain in the arse i changed to normal type.I got my mate at the bike shop to do them :'(

Yep, they are a pain the arse to put but can take super high pressure. As Lazychubs says, the best way is to warm them up a bit to make them more pliable. Plut the glue on the rim and let it dry until it is tactile but not fully dry, have some white spirit/panel wipe to hand and gently work the tub onto the rim starting from the valve seat out. The best way is to push it on with your thumbs working around the rim on both sides at once.
Used to do these all the time on my road bikes, pain in the arse in the peeing rain, 50 miles from home I can tell you :LolLolLolLol:
