Hey Guys,
Thanks for the kind words, you are too kind.
Very cool story on this cruiser. BMX Business News interviewed me about 4 years ago along with 5 or 6 other collectors. One of the questions they ask is if there were any special bikes we were still looking for. I think my quote was "I am looking for the skyway TA 24" cruiser and if anyone out there has one I am willing to pay big bucks for it"
Well after 100's of dead end emails a guy contacted me named Martin out in Northern California telling me of this skyway cruiser he got. First thing I thought was yeah right another joker. He then went on to tell me he got it from a guy named Ronnie Anderson over 17 years ago and that it was in his storage building. He said this Ronnie guy got it from his brother named Richie. He told me he rode it till it got a flat tire and tossed it away in the storage building and he was more of a road bike kind of guy.
When Mr. Martin finally sent me the pictures I almost fell out of my chair! There it was and there it was with everything but the rear wheel, seat and crank set. When the bike got here and I pulled it from the box I was in shock how nice it was. The chrome was almost perfect with only minor wear. Needless to say I was ready to attack and put the bike back to new status.
I was about to strip off the decals when I noticed the bad scuffs and though to myself “maybe there were battle scars”???? I then pulled out all my magazines that I have been doing my research with and noticed a few details that may help prove this was really Richie Anderson’s
I did some extremely high resolution scans of all the pictures of the bike and wow my proof was right in my face on the first picture. I noticed the dropouts where the wheel was ran all the way back. (See picture below)

I then started looking at the damage to the decals and it matched it up 100% with the picture in BMX plus (same picture you just posted above) I zoomed in on the fork decal and there it was, same exact damage as the picture…….WOW!!!!! The frame has a few other cool details that make it Richie’s those details will remain with me till I either sell it or die……… :knuppel2:

One of the reasons you don’t see me posting many shots of the bike and all the details is to keep the original bike safe from reproduction guys. Sure then can copy it but all the details that make this one of a kind bike will stay with me.
Hope you enjoyed the story of the find, it goes to show they are out there and you can find them if you keep looking and researching.

Same track one week later, Sun Ringle blessed me to be on the cover of the 2006 60th Anniversary catalog this year..

Here is a nice jump that was in a lot near my mom and pops house. Over that summer Tim Judge, Greg & Bryan Esser, Jamie Burrows, Frank Post and at lease 20 other big time riders enjoyed riding in my neighborhood........those were the days!!!

This picture was in November 1980 of BMX plus. This was my factory Kuwahara days riding my old KE-1. That jump was so steep it was like hitting a brick wall and It was over 6 feet tall !

The end of the track for me. At the end of 1984 retired as a pro and hung up my Tuffs.
