I wouldn't mind hooking up with him again.
Last I knew, he was living in Plumstead. We sort of lost touch after I let him down rather badly with a comic strip script he'd written. My fault entirely, he said to keep in touch and I just never did.
Nowadays, I might just have time (and the means, if he's online) to keep up with people.
If you ever wore an Evolution T-Shirt, chances are the artwork was done by me.

I have sent you both Andys e-mail that he left on the old site ;)

Hi Wayne , well I come from Grimsby and have known Collin Platt since about 84 and wore the Tees shorts and long slleeve tees aswell. haven`t seen collin in a long time either but he`s always been a bit mysterious.........
Thanks Bill

Well, I exchanged mails with Andy over the weekend. He said there was something on the Meanwhile site about me that made him think I was back in my original Derbyshire location. Must get that put right, anyone tell me where he meant?
I intend to publish some pics of the Evolution stuff I still have on my website, when I get the time. Maybe with Andy's feedback there'll be more info on the way this stuff 'evolved'. But for now, we've got to meet up and catch up on over 8 years of stuff. Should be fun.

You mentioned this pic in your e-mail Wayne :

Okay then i tried this one a while back too.
To me this is one of the Grand daddies of BMX
Pete Daniels. he was in in late 30`s in about 1988
Rumoured he rode in a freestyle demo in the Albert hall in about 83..

The name Rings a bell, 'cept every time I hear the surname Daniels, I think of C-3P0 or parklife!
So Colin is lost eh? How about Aju Bubu?
Also, I work in the City, and saw a bloke ride past me in Bishopsgate, earphones on, obviously a flatlander. I'm sure it was Phil Dolan. Was a bit surpised to see him, and he was on the other side of the road so I couldn't pull him up to say hi.
Also, Jason Hassle. I've heard rumours he's living in Oz. Anyone confirm that?
Or for that Matter Paul Zak. I haven't seen him for a couple of years. Seen Paul Gerlak a few times mind.
-
I always forget to mention this, so I'll write it down here.
I'm sure I saw flatlander Jason Webb waiting for a train at a District Line station in about 1995-6. He still had a Trickstar, in pink (I think he still had the forkstander fitted to his seattube, if I think about it).
Unfortunately, I never knew him well enough to go over and chat.

Webby was always a nice fella Wayne. Very Quite. Very un-assuming.
By the way, did anyone know Gary McCalister?
I never got on with him, until after BMX (I was a twat a twat the time, he was a twat the time).
Got to know him after we stopped riding and we both grew up a bit.
I was informed by a mutual mate that he died of testicular cancer. Lifes fooking strange like that.
Really pissed me off to be truthful. He was a nice bloke. And much like myself, was just pissed off and angry when he was younger.
Toast to Gary McCalister anyone?
-
hi
yeah i remember garg mccalister and yeah i heard he passed away and yep he was always a attitude person who i sometimes got on with and other times didn`t ,when he used to come down southbank he always gave it large bit like like dean {can`t remember his surname } .
let hope he rests in peace
love to see aju again me and trevor always talk about him and the old days when we meet up .
-
Not Dave Dean?
Do I know you stuntmaster? Were you a southbank regular?
Aju was such a top bloke. Really was.
Also, I shit you not, once you got past all the shit with Gary, he was a really nice fella.
Gary, I'll sink one for you mate when I get the chance.
