need to date a motomag frame .how do you sort from serial number
-
im not sure who could help you on here
i asked coastvl
he is very helpful indeed :daumenhoch:

If I remember rightly the first letter is where it was made (C = Chatsworth), next letter is the month and the number is the year.
What is the number?
-
there are 4 sets of numbers laid out in different directions but hear they are
CJO 24 345392 BH216PL and are all under BB

need to date a motomag frame .
i'd try some soothing music, fine wine and expensive chocolates.
-
1980 dan :daumenhoch: october
-
CJO = Chatsworth made Oct 1980 so it is probably a full cro-mo (Either a Team or a Supergoose)
The 345392 is the actual serial number (depending on the order of the numbers that you have quoted)
A pic would help of the frame and the number layout under the BB
The rest 24 and BH216PL is probably a house number and postcode so why not trace the original owner! :LolLolLolLol: On second thoughts don't as it might have been nicked BITD!

isn't motomag rhyming slang? if so a bottle of white lightning should do the job ::)
-
if it were full chromo on those first gen models it would have a "T" stamped before / above
the "CJ0"
-
no just looked no T just nickel plated .
-
Yep. What they all said above. :daumenhoch:

the only difference between a team and a supergoose was the bits. frame was the same. it's got the rigjt forks and stem dan
