Title: hollow stem bolts for newer 1 1/8 stems?

can you buy them anywhere?

cant find them at custom riders etc.... :'(

Usually Dia Compe do them, I'll have a butchers..........

fruity arnt they just the top nut.thats all u need.drill a hole in a blank one ..

reckon i might have fooked the headset too, as i had to ride from epic to the station, with the whole lot jangling about......

I have a stem bolt that is brand new - i would need a replacement though, like for like condition

I'm a bit confused.......   Is it a new school clamp on stem?  If so, you can run quite happily without that centre bolt at all, its purely a headset tensioner. The stem then holds the whole thing together.  The bolt (if its only that) needs to match the forks...

Or am I way off?   :-[ :)

no, you were right TBR.

ive got one from billys now.

was running it for the rest of the evening snapped, but the stem seems to have worked its way loose, and jangled the bearings so, i reckon a new one is in order.
