Title: 85 Master - What should i do with it ?
Post by: snav69 on January 02, 2007, 12:48 PM: I can't decide what to do with this. Do i restore it or do i leave it ? I would love it as a minty mint fresh powered white but i'm also getting attached to it as it is.If i powder it then its not original but it is scratched all over the place . I do like survivors too so should i leave it as is . Hmmm i can't decide , Can You :-\

Post by: Bigplinky on January 02, 2007, 02:58 PM: I would leave it as is as but you could always touch or spray in the really bad areas that's what I normally do on motor bike frames if they are scrated but basically good, just make sure you feather the edges so there are no straight edge joints to be seen

Post by: brass monkey! on January 02, 2007, 03:04 PM: mate, i have that exact same frame, mine has a few chips here and there, so i'm building it up as a 'rider', all red parts, inc Red Zytecs,

i'd leave it as it is personally, if you're gonna use it a a rider :daumenhoch:

Dunno which way to go with mine though , I have some Andy Patterson sig skyways but don't know what colour to go with on the brakes , I have some black DC MX1000s and some silver ones . I think i will struggle with black parts though :-\ although i have quite a bit of red i can use off this TA copy i did

Black parts are readily available ... you've got the hard to find black 1000's which is a great start :daumenhoch:

Yeah , i have the front and rear calipers , the black DC cables but no levers :'( and they are harder to find than the brakes :tickedoff:

I wish , The pad set is signed by billy but they and the stickers are the only genuine skyway parts on it :2funny: . I built it up with loads of parts i had hanging around

Its a genuine haro fluted post , sticker was already on ;)
