Title: can faded yellow tuffs be dyed black?

just a thought. i only need a rear black one but all orfan wheels seem to be fronts....

Yep. I have 2 sets in yellow. One is dyed black and the others will be shortly. They were painted previously. Otherwise I'd leave them yellow.
These are the tuff 1's about to be dyed. They are actually yellow.
