Title: Copy Parts (Part One) - Brake Sets
Post by: brass monkey! on January 05, 2007, 01:35 PM
I can't find any Dia Compe MX1000's in Blue for love nor Money,

my options are: DC MX900's (Lot long enough for a Ripper)

or:

Dia Compe MX901's/890's etc

or:

MX1000 COPIES ! (Anyone have these, what are they like ? - I mean Quality & Finish ??) I always remember they were shoddy, is that true, they're cheap though on the other hand.....?

Opinions pleeeze ?

i got a set the other day. i said they were fake. the guy i got them off who is an ex skyway factory rider in holland and owns a bmx shop said, not a chance, i got them new and had them on my bike but hated blue so took em off. So i argued that they have no mx 1000 or dia-compe on the back and the blue was too light and the casting was a bit rough. To wich he replied, got em just after they came out. Stickers are rubbed but said dia-compe. the pads are dia comp, they have the pots mod. i still think he has them mixed up with some others he had, because i would bet my bollox that they are as fake as an armani t-shirt bought for 2 quid on a thai beach. stoned nederlanders are funny. top guy and he has some unbeleivable shit including early torkers and gen 1's all set up with top parts, but i would still rather i drive than him. bottle of jack daniels in the back of the shop, love it.
