At the point the design team responsible made a series of very bad decisions?!
-
that first framee is a race inc me thinks with a bastardised seatpost tube
-
they go from good to bad to ugly
-
it's a Rampar Townshend, made by Bill Bastian though.
I was just wondering if any of the Raleigh boys could enlighten me on the history? i mean were Rampar and Raleigh just using the same frame design? did raleigh buy their name? what's the deal? ???
-
I really want one of those R11XL frames. Would look great in red with some Bottema forks on it! :daumenhoch:
-
Raleigh wasn't just English. There's Raleigh's all over the world.
The Rampars probably started out in the U.S. where they probably employed someone to design the bikes.
Raleigh UK probably just made them with no idea of frame geometry...
Only surmising.
Don't shoot me down. :LolLolLolLol:
-
RAMPAR = Raleigh AMerican PARts
-
So where does the bastian frame fit in?

No matter what you say the Pro Burner is pure class, don't ask me why but I do love em :smitten:
