The early Swooper F&F (Black F&F - Bend in top tube) is dated 1979 on the engraved plaque,
whilst the later frame with the chrome forks is dated 1982.

Bassetts where not seen in this country until 1984 (possibly 1983) when Hotshot imported some.

They look mint, loving the loop stays and head tube gusset and the one with the sweep in the toptube is just gorgeous  :smitten:

What componentry is going on them?  I bet they are going to be sweet when built  :daumenhoch:

Glad you guys are liking my Bassetts. You'll have to wait to see the components (Milton Keynes????)
alot of it is ready and waiting to be bolted together.

The frame are really sweet, its a shame the pics dont show the engraved name plates.

I emailed the pics of the frames to Jane windle of Hotshot fame, she used to ride a basset bitd, I think she likes them a wee bit. Lets see the finished bikes, that might just get her back on a bike this year... :daumenhoch:

I'm new to this site so maybe there are a few more Hounds about than I thought. But I've got to ask, how do you find such rare(?) and glorious steed? Let alone two and the decals for 'em!!!!
Last time I saw one of those frames I was busy snapping it at a skate park back in '83. Silly boy.
Nice job on the resto!!!
