Title: Scoooooooored ! (maybe lol)
Post by: YGT on February 02, 2007, 06:36 PM: I put up an advert on another site i go to looking for an oldschool first gen condor.
Later on i recieved an email from a guy who claimed to have a complete from 1992 but didnt have any photos and couldnt seem to get a scan or anything for a while .
He rode it forr 2 months and broe his arm and had given up after that.
Expectinig it to be a hoax or a deal that would costs me big ££££££ he then told me i could get the F&F for 100 + shipping (us dollars) so i have paid 140 dollars for something I have never seen and dont know if I will even recieve anything.

I really hope i do get a treasure, but even if i dont the exitment of not knowing is a pleasent buzz.
And if I do recieve anything from this time period I will be stoked.

I will keep you all posted.

the guy actually offered to sell me the bike complete for 200 + shipping, but i told him I would do the frame and fork first and then the rest if it arrived all good.

Nothing yet LOL

Basically when i made the payment via paypal I filled out the terms and conditions allon with a descprition of the greed product I was paying for.
This way if I dont recieve anything after a few weeks I can make a claim with paypal in the hopes of not getting ripped off.

I havent had contact with the guy as I only just paid him the other day and havent emailed him since the payment.
I will give it 14 days, as he needs to ship it from canada to sweden and this can take some time (he also needs to strip the bike to get tot he frame an forks)
Basically I havent wanted to email him after paying for it as I am keeping my fingers crossed that he will send it ....

So i will keep you all updated :)

I just emailed the seller to ask if he sent it, and I got a reponse saying yes he had and he thought it may be here in the next few days.
so fingers crossed, so far all looks good since I am getting responses after payment

I have been keeping in contact with seller and asked for a tracking number as agreed with payment.
He has been responding to me which has been a good sign and promised to get me a tracking number last saterday since he was away.
Unfortuantly this has not happend and the seller has not contacted me since......

So reluctantly today I had to submit a resolution to paypal hoping to communicate via paypal and get a tracking number .... and paypal have automatically escillated it to a claim insted which is giving me a bad feeling.
As I believe they only do this when an account has been closed or fraudulent, we will have to wait and see.

I still have my fingers crossed that the frame kit will arrive but its looking more like i got stung :(
I dont like being taken advatage of, but it was something i was willing to risk for a first gen condor.
