Title: Dia Compe 890 swapping from potts mod to normal
Post by: jimwise68 on February 09, 2007, 10:33 AM
Got a front 890 caliper that has the adjuster and cable clamp in the wrong place. It is set up for a Potts Mod and has the final cable clamp on the top caliper arm and the adjuster on the bottle caliper arm.

I want to cut the adjuster off, swap them over and refit so it is set up for a normal front brake cable.

I need to find an adjuster insert that has a bolt on application, does anyone have any of these or know if you can get them or where to get them.

Hope that made sense.  :crazy2:

Best place for summat like that would be a good old fashioned bicycle shop. Those bolt in adjusters came in a couple of sizes. Perhaps cannibalise a shitty mass produced brake for its adjuster?

I'll have a root through my parts box, I may have one kicking around.  Leave it with me  :)
