I don't know too much about mid school stuff particularly 95 to 97 so can anyone let me know what chainring/spider combinations would have been used? Were power disks or Sugino Spiders still used then or did it all switch to solid chainrings?
cheers

Race or freestyle?
On freestyle bikes it was all solid chainrings, Profile Tri-Fan and Whippet were popular, as were big fat sprocket guards :)

Buggar, forgot to put it's for a race bike :LolLolLolLol:

i aint a foggy on race stuff

thinking about it didnt he use his mirage power discs

Profile Ripsaws were popular too but a bit earlier, available in nice colours.

Im after some of those older profile ripsaw chainrings so if anyones got any ... ?
You can spot the older ones cos the cutouts go straight through and dont have any fancy steps in the machining.

The Ripsaw looks good, but I think I'll have a set of Redline Flites going on it and don't think it will match, having said that bitd I rode with Gen1 Profiles and a Redline Script Flite Chainring :LolLolLolLol:
Alans has the Ripsaw but only in teeny new school sizes :(
What about power disks or spiders? Were these used through the mid 90's? What else could I use with the Flites to keep it period?
