Do you mean Chris King headset?

If so, Biaggio pressed my 1" Chris King headset for me into my Haro Sport 84 head tube and said it was a VERY tight fit and took him quite a while.

Perhaps it was the powder coat. I would recommend sanding down as much of the paint on the inside of the head tube as possible because the paint slightly chipped on mine when pressing it in because it was so tight. :(

if it's too tight, then just try a different one. in case you flare the tube

on a modern bike i'd say thwack it in - as they are a bit tougher (and more expendable)

You can still use it though mate, just get some internal spacers from BETD, I did the same in my Giant MTB......Sod having a £110 headset (the best money can by) sitting doing bugger all   :daumenhoch:

Mind you, it was a bugger getting the spacers in!!
