When does a bike become classed as old school? 10, 20, 30 years?
-
1980's and earlier i reckon
-
me too. 90's is mid.
inch forks and clliper brakes.
-
mmmm....
i think pre 85 is old school....
then to 95 for mid.....
then new school
only my opinion though
Dave
-
pre 87 I would say.
-
this has been done before i believe and everyone has their views .
mine are old school 80s threaded forks canti brakes
mid school 90s ,
new school anything black and boring lol ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
-
I reckon pre 88.
-
i think Mid school was the last bikes around 95 or so that still had inch headsets 7/8 seatposts & 3/8 axles!
old school must really be everything up to 87/88 or so :-\
-
pre 87 I would say
i agree :).
-
i would say anything older than me (1988) ???
-
I think when they got Ahead Stems & Brake Mounts they became Mid Skool.
-
Depends on your age too.
I mean, to Reilley1, an old Webco or boingy bike is os.....
To most here, a Haro FSX is OS, or is it?
lol
The fact is, if you like it, build it.
I suppose it is anything that aint 'new' cos even mid is todays old, and yesterdays Old is now vintage,
I have gone cross eyed...
-
I must have an old-mid-hybrid-cross then!!!
-
when does new school start then
-
September.
