Having just viewed Phantom Photon's Gen 1, I am a little apprehensive on posting my latest build... :-\
But here goes... another one saved from the skip. :daumenhoch:
Brought this a long long time ago it seems...

A few quid and few hours later... My MK1 Tuff Burner.
90% factory spec except for tyres/saddle & levers. (+addition of weinmann adjusters).
Oh and I had the reflector bracket rechromed along with the Seat Clamp/Bolt & Chain Ring Cover.
I need to snip 6 inches out of the rear cable, but apart from that I am very pleased with how its turned out.

Cheers Guys.. I know they are not everyones cup of tea.. But i do genuinely enjoy restoring them. I am building a Non Burner at the moment as well.. Just a trial run really before i tackle a top spec bike like a Skyway.. Haro.. Goose.. Torker etc.. etc.. Thanks for the kind words. Anyone got any NOS Blue Snakebellies..?
-
Pains me to say it but it does look nice, good job that man :daumenhoch:
-
Hey, seeing that bike reminds me, I have got a burner stem pad you can have if you want. Its the older poppered one but its a long way from mint. I found it in the road about 15 years ago.
LMK if you want it (for free, obviously!)
-

Another little close up... ;) and just to add that these Skyways HAVE NOT been dyed.... they are almost NOS condition, brought them off cbrgil and they are just stunning.

Top notch as ever Beard mate :daumenhoch:

You really do set the bar high (and I aint talkin about the handlebars). If anyone was doing a Mk1 pro burner build they would have to go a long way to get it looking better than your Mk1 tuff!
-
Superb mate!! i always loved them BITD......two of my mates had them and i thought they looked gorgeous then! I had a Burner GS BITD and i'd love one now :daumenhoch:
-
You gotta love these welds..... ;D ;D ;D
Now thats how to put a Bottom Bracket Together.... :LolLolLolLol: :Great_Britain:
