Can anyone give me advice as to the neatest way to put my TA up on my dining room wall. Ta. Nath.
-
i have found the best way is with some chrome chain ,put ome hooks in the cross beams in the roof and drop some chrome chain ,you can then take out links to get the desired effect :daumenhoch:
-
Jesus! Your missus must be pretty understanding  ;D

Raleigh make fold up wall stands that you can get in Halfords for £10, come with bolts and wall plugs, padded to protect the frame, black and a bargain, I've got a few.
-
put a prong on the wall that pokes down the one side of the handlebars
modify the wall side pedal so it also accepts a prong
-
Bikes are for riding, not hanging up
-
ha ha ha i agree however i like a nice showbike or two on display above the dining room table and round it as it makes me feel like im at TGI FRIDAYS MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM jack daniel ribs, :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

A medal for my mrs, they're on the landing, spare bedroom, garage, hallway, spare living room.....crap everywhere. Nice crap....When it was at it's worst had 13 in our bedroom. Nag, nag, nag.......
-
already tried to hang bikes on the wall, but the wife says it's a no-no ! :(
i was gonna use some large hooks, that i saw in Wickes, they're about £9 for 2, and have foam to protect the frame...!
-
Ok here goes:- Approach wall with moderate speed from about a 45 degree angle......as you get within half a meter pull on bars and lean back keeping your eye on the wall all the time....as your about to make contact hop up and ride the the wall......spot your landing and dont forget to pull away as you come down.....as you land compress and soak the landing.....ride away looking cool! Oh yeah make sure your lass does'nt see you cos she'll kick your arse for riding your bike in the dining room :daumenhoch: sorry mate couldnt help myself.

Or like this, just a adjustable strap atatched to the wall then round the seat post and a beam of wood. You could paint the beam the same colour as your wall for extra neatness :LolLolLolLol:

-
i think you would get away with the wood idea, tell her its a dado rail

Thanks guys, got rid of wife due to lack of TA on wall. New girlfriend is still on her three month probation so she is very accommodating at the moment....eh....eh!!! Like the idea of mounting the wall whilst riding will try that later. Will post a pic when finished. Thanks again. Peace and love.

OK, not suited to every bike.

the bike used to be on his wall when he lived at home. His brother had the back half of the bike on his wall, in the room next door. Might have just been easier to put a hole in the wall!
