Title: Hutch Frame and Forks

Looking to buy a race F&F, what models were there, what price am I looking at, what should I look out for so not ripped off? Didn't have much to do with them back in the day so have no idea! What decals should they have to lok correct?

You really want a pro star/racer from the early eighties. No serial number with drilled hutch logo on rear brake bridge or square styled hutch lettering stamped in the rear brake bridge.

These are the sought after ones. The later japanese and taiwanese made ones are cheaper, the welds aren't as good but they ride lovely.

Prices range from about £100 for a later model up to about £300-£400 and above for the early models.

Yep, you will pay a whole lot more for the parts to go on it.

Pedals = £500 anyone
Dustcaps = £300 anyone  :idiot2:
Aerospeed cranks = £2,000 anyone

getting the frame and forks is the easy bit,you just need £4000 spare for the other bits if buiding it to pro racer spec

They are "cheap" in comparison to prices i have seen them go for.

It certainly is a buyers market.

The cranks still have 4 days left so anything can happen.
