AS TA'S ARE RACE BIKES SHOULD THEY BE FITTED WITH SPOKED WHEELS OR TUFFS?
EVEN THOUGH SKYWAY DO MAKE WHEELS DOES THAT MEAN YOU HAVE TO FIT THEM?
I VOTE SPOKES AS TO ME TUFFS ARE FOR FREESTYLE AND TOO HEAVY FOR RACE BIKES!!!
LET THE ABUSE BEGIN!!!! :knuppel2: :knuppel2: :knuppel2: :knuppel2: :knuppel2:
-
I've always considered the TA as a race bike which looks great no matter what wheels they're wearing
Defo spokes on the race bikes and Tuffs on those adapted for freestyle :daumenhoch:
Steve
-
Yeh..wot Steve just said.... :daumenhoch:
-
i've not seen one T/A yet that i liked without tuffs on it.
it always looks like somethings missing lol.
-
if it were my TA i'd have tuffs just cause they look rad imo, but it is a race frame and if ur gonna race it then its gotta be spokes.

Except mine ;)
-
yeah except yours steve lol.
but it is a race frame and if ur gonna race it then its gotta be spokes.
tell andy patterson that :4_17_5:.
-
Tuffs are gay. :LolLolLolLol:
-
i like tuffs.
-
Skyways never quite look right wihout tuffs
-
here we go again :'( :LolLolLolLol: :-X
how about a new rule?
you need 2 ta's
1 white with tuffs
1 chrome with spokes
:4_17_5:
-
I like em both :4_17_5: :smitten:

Horses for courses, look good with either in my opinion (but that doesn't count for much :LolLolLolLol:)
-
As said above - spokes if built for racing and tuffs for freestyle - both look good and neither are wrong in my opinion :daumenhoch:
-
hmmmmm
plastic wheels or proper wheels
what a decision
-
theyre not plastic.
-
they feel like rubber ;)
seriously though, on your TA run whichever wheels you choose
it aint down to no poll or vote or debate
just down to you
you'll not please everybody. don't try to.
-
Sorry but T/A's just don't look right without tuff's....
-
a ta is a bmx it predates the concept of freestyle it was a good all rounder thats why its so iconic it was one of the stalwarts of cutting edge bmx bitd and thats why we adore them now wheels are wheels but if you wanna win a race id go for spokes but tuffs are ultra coolio :coolsmiley: and you know this man
-
here we go again :'( :LolLolLolLol: :-X
how about a new rule?
you need 2 ta's
1 white with tuffs
1 chrome with spokes
:4_17_5:
or two sets of wheels and a 14mm spanner :LolLolLolLol:
-
a ta doesnt predate freestyle
they were always seen with tuffs though, as the pics you saw were of factory riders who had to ride with them. i guess you gotta take the rough with the smooth
-
I think T/A's need Tuffs, it just doesn't seem right without them.
-
divny know id put a set of tuffs on but then id not as i aint got a ta so it dont matter does it really cos if i was into raceing id av a gt pro and a rl20 if i was doing endos and bunny hops :crazy2:
-
TUFFS ON THE TA ALL DAY LONG.................... ;D
-
tuffs,
ignore ruler. he is currently on trial at the hague for war crimes.
-
gotta be tuffs mate. only the bum boys have spokes. they all meet up and put bits of cardboard in there spokes and pretend they have motorbikes. ffs spokes are crap..
-
lol
-
lol indeed
you sheep
-
Andy Patterson raced with Graphites didn,t he ? GRAPHITES = Lighter +Sealed bearing =Ideal for racing ( an, SKYWAY obviously wanted to plug them like fook for sales reasons , coz come on they aint ever been cheap) ::)
Summary . Race bikes ,sensible choice spokes..........................er unless you,ve got a TA , then its Tuffs , oh poo :D

-
ohhohhohh tuffs :knuppel2:
-
Tuffs....I love mag wheels :)
-
tufty the squirrel.
-
gotta be tuffs then.. have to say though the white z rims do look nice on them
-

i remember seeing TAs in magazines before i ever heard of freestyle when it was all just bmxing when we were all doing endos wheelies and bunnyhops , was that freestyle ? or was that darwin on a BMX :LolLolLolLol:
-
that was what freestyle was!!
endos and hops on the ground
airs in the skateparks
the two gradually combined . . . .
-
Flog the Skyway, get a GT instead, problem solved.
