Was geeking a bit yesterday for "research" ::) and on the scene in the woods just as ET takes control of Elliot's bike for the first time you get quite a good close up of the drop out and it's not a looptail. Anyone notice that before? And if it's not a painted up KZ 2.5 what was it? I noticed that the pedals were KKT K-MX rat traps too not A-MX but JimWise sussed that one before with his replica build...
Also has anyone tried to drill a hot heart frame in the gusset to replicate a KZ 2.5? Any problems or advice, might do it...Been advised by an engineering mate and Bananaman about water jet cutting....I'll have a go at the jet wash, £1.50 to get it done ain't bad :LolLolLolLol:

:LolLolLolLol:
jimwise built one, and that was the first time i noticed we were had over. As for making a kuwi from a hot heart, i have never seen one. could be done i suppose.

thas my original KZ1 from bitd 8)
still got this & my Laserlite, not many people can say they still have their old bikes
i bought some NOS blue forks for the KZ1 a while ago & have never seen another pair for sale since!
i've got 2 pairs of unstamped Landing gear in very nice chrome like the ones pictured that may be up for grabs soon ;)
that frame still has the original LG i used bitd fitted & is the same bike as i'm shown on here in the background with the no2 plate from a pic in Spurdens book of frestyle :)

I just checked a tange hot heart pic and you would have to weld up the piont in the heart first as its lower than the hole should be!!!
Its possible though.
A mate bitd did it but it was very poorly done and looked crap.
Any good metal worker could do it.

Yep, Elliot's Kuwi in the film was a KZ1 or such like and not a looptail.
it also had the rat-trap pedais (which are now on mine ), Sugino Cross chainring instead of a spider, shiney-side rims and black wall tyres.
i was thinking of getting a KZ1 sprayed up to make an exact replica of Elliot's bike, but now can't be arsed.

if the frame is made by the same people, are we really that bothered about the hole spec?
its never gonna be issued by kuwi, but is for all intents and purposes, a kuwahara frame.
