they were made by Von Giese in California. they are long gone now though. Their parts were all the rage when I was growing up. the LBS had all of the VG stuff. well anyways here is a link to their archived website:http://web.archive.org/web/19990208021221/http://www.vgcomponents.com/ (http://web.archive.org/web/19990208021221/http://www.vgcomponents.com/)
check it out there is alot of pictures of most of the products he made. there are alot of things he made not pictured as well. supposedly he made a few sets of hubs...
I would like to see some pics of your Hawk rakas17.
-
cool, nice stuff there.. the hawk is only frame and fork so far but i'm in the process of sourcing and making bits for it. i use a cnc at my work, maybe i could be the new von giese ;D ;D
heres a link to the thread of the hawk and some bits that i'm making for it ;)

I regretably gave MADDOG a rear blue VG 1" inverted stem, i bought an assassin that had VG stem seatclamp n headlock on it but the sten wasnt my cup of tea being inverted. Knowing the nature of the beast im sure he'l sell. these are rare stylish top end early midschool.
-
I really dig the VG parts so if anyone has some lmk!!! rakas17 that Hawk is super nice! those forks are impossible to find! probably worth double what that frame is worth... as far as that flared head tube goes I would just keep that VG headlock tight or have it repaired by a professional metal fabricator. we have a guy in the states who does BMX repair. I am sure there is someone on your side who does it as well. that is a really nice setup you have there for sure. if the VG stuff isn't your thing lmk :)
btw your CNC parts are sweet!!! we need to stay in touch. and as far as you becoming the new Von Giese... I would like some bar ends. I have a single used one you could have as a template. you would have to sell me some sets of cou
rse! here is what they looked like (not mine although I have some) (http://www.radbmx.co.uk/archive/albums/c362/KCMOBMX/vg6.jpg)
let me know if you would be interested in such a project

jacob, i might be interested in doin those bar ends but not any time soon as i've got so many projects on the go it's ridiculous.. as for the flared head tube, i was gonna leave as is due to the fact that when finished the bike probably isn't going to get ridden too hard. i see what you mean about the forks though, most of the pics i've seen of these they have normal lookin forks..
that link for the vg stuff is cool, he did some cool stuff and i noticed you have vg stuff on a few of your bikes, nice :daumenhoch:
