OK , 82 seems early if it s the blue one in your avatar
the first 2 sets are the date and year #the following 4 digits are the serial number
check the 82 and see if its a 4 not a 2

deffo not the 13th quad ever made, just number 13 in the run of that year
1st quads and these were looptails,im sure produced from 1979

what year were the rear stays changed from loop to the plate reynolds type ? i thought 83 ? so if its a reynolds then 82 is to early , but that depends on what year for sure they changed

we need to compare the quad tests from 83/84
bmx plus/bmx action mags
i have the 84 test ;)

i dont think the 0013 would be how many as produced in the year.
because the month is oct and cant see them only making 13 all year to oct ???
also only six months later it was 1116 a of dordy's
is it more likely that the Reynolds type stays appeared in late 82
and they zero'd the sequence making mine one of the first ?? ??
or am i barking up the wrong tree?
is it worth emailing SE for info? are they helpful like that?
-
i would say the 13th in that month , although more likely the 13th rear drop out stamped that month cos they must of stamped the drops before they welded them up
whos to say that that dropout didnt sit in a pile for awhile
if they were making reymolds in late 82 sounds fair to say its early . did they do a cromo one that looked like the reynolds as well for a while
