Title: WHEN DID QUADANGLES LOOSE THIER TAILS??????

when exactly did quads change from looptails to the later Reynolds
style chainstay?
its been said 83 but my 82 has Reynolds style stays?? ??
any help

I have a BMX Action magazine with a Quad teat in it.  I think from reading through it the new style rear end was only just out, the magazine is January 1983. From this I would guess your frame must be one of the first of that style, late 1982.

that sounds bout right.
mine is oct 1982 and the serial number is:
10 82 0013 so im assuming its the 13th one
of the revised rear.
would that be correct?

I'm only going on what the magazine says but it sounds likely. I spotted the other thread after posting the last message. I will have a go at scanning the pages, there are 7 in all so it might take a while.
