ive been doing some digging and it appears that my quad
is an early "reynolds style" frame. but the first ones were actually
made from 4130 chromoly.
how can i tell the difference?? ?? ??

reynolds must be lighter than cromo 'as why arnt more road racers made from cromo ? is cromoly stronger than reynolds ? :-\

reynolds is specifficaly made for bikes , more spring appaerently stronger pound for pound that cro mo

the first quads had a looptail back .. then came the fish tail end cromo quads if u compare the rear triangle from one of these to a reynolds quad .. u will find the cromo one will have slightly smaller tubing, also as rich says there will be a diff in weight ... lee
