it's a grifter
-
and you can't include pedals as "pieces" of a crank
-
VDC Freestyler ???
-
its pretty small....
-
It's the same as the VDC Change Freestyler tested in Freestyle BMX issue 14. I can scan the test for you later if you want?

See the Voris Dixon interview on http://www.vintagebmx.com/interview_dixon.htm for a few details

-

-
VDC Freestylers!
-
deffo looks like a pit bike, and the buyer collects vdc stuff in the states so to pay that many pounds i reckon he knew what he was biddin on
-
Holy Shit!!! How did I miss that one? ??? As already correctly identified - a VDC Freestyler
(http://www.radbmx.co.uk/archive/albums/e250/Christmoose/VDC/P1260089.jpg)
-
so, it's rare then ??? ;)
-
it's not exactly beautiful though i might add, :P
-
i love em ,like ugly betty its a classic rare beauty .
-
I was trying to see if he would havefload for a couple of hundy as I was online when he posted it up - was making some headway but the the wax stepped in too and I wasn't going to get into a bidding war with him, so sat back and watched it go.
Tis a nice frameset, but awful colour, if I was lucky enough to have gotten it, I was going to get it chromed I reckon they would look the b*ll*cks in black and chrome!!

Quite rare, not many in the UK and it looks like that one is headed to that Heath dodgyUSebayseller chap.
There are a few in the US, mostly owned by FlanelCamel (Ray) :LolLolLolLol:
-
Wouldn't it be ironic if the VDC didn't actually make there :2funny:

Yeah, there are some big VDC collectors in the US, I know rvato (Rodney) has a wicked collection, I emailed him earlier to see if he saw it....

Have you seen Ray's collection of VDC's (I think the picture diesel posted is of one of his freestylers and his MDP)?

yeah, i've seen his collection, serious money there - hell, what do they do for a living ???
-
Lord only knows, but I'm in the wrong job :LolLolLolLol:
-
The photo is an old one, they are both VDC freestyler frames.
These were once in the UK, but however much I tried I could not get the seller to negotiate. he sold them for less then my offer in the end....??? figure that
-
me too, and even if I had the right job, the kids take all my money (well most of it !! LOL!)
-
Dan - that black frame has been discussed a while ago. It may have been made by Voris, but I'm almost certain now it's an MDP.
-
just got word,....it was apparently a VDC Freestyler Pit Bike, rare as rocking horse sh!t !!!
a bargain apparently !!
-
Here's the link to the MDP thread if anyone's interested

I'm not sure it's a pit bike? Those wheels look like 20"ers to me ???
-
it looked like a pit at first glance, but seemed to be a 20" actually
-
Isn't it our old "mate" reliable Heath that got it under his current name change (quadranglelooptail),,,,xtremedealz, silverstreakybellend or whatever it is.....not the prettiest of frames, confusing picture does look like a pit or huge kitchen units......
-
Yeah - he'll probably rattle-can spray it, put some gash stickers on it and sell it as NOS to someone in the UK for £1200 and then it won't turn up, having been 'lost in transit' when the buyer only had it insured for £50 :LolLolLolLol: :LolLolLolLol:
-
It does indeed look all wrong :crazy2:
-
here's the vdc
(http://i10.ebayimg.com/01/i/000/8e/b6/580c_1.JPG)
and here is a pit bike
(http://radbmxmuseum.com/images/img1_97.jpg)
-
it looks little !!!
look at the size of cabinets, the level of the worktops, and the angle of the hand holding it, it looks very small, pit bike size imo !?!
-
my bikes aren't taller than kitchen worktops
y'all building some choppers?
-
Post 2000 and its to say ffs someone pm the dude ps my moneys on 20" ;)
-
look at the difference in size between the frame pads
and the vdc pad looks like a bigger pad than on the gt
look at the pedal size compared to the spoke length
-
it's an optical illusion !! it's doing my head in, who cares anyway !! :buck2:
that's it,.....off to build my Chopper !! :LolLolLolLol:
-
VDC=visually distorted cycles ::)
-
I'd say it is a 20", but it looks all fecked up. Just think it is a small freestyle frame, but a 20" none the less.
Unless the brake blocks are minis too?
-
and calipers
look on the gt - almost half the fork length
then look on the vdc . . . .
-
Either way, don't care if it is a VDC. It's fecking pig ugly! :uglystupid2:

Ah but stodgys pit GT has got a special mini cal lite pad (it really has) and also SX pedals. The VDC has got DX pedals and a full size pad.
I agree that the brake is the give away ... its a 20"! (I think, anyway)
-
feck this, have you seen VATO's VDC Gorilla in the Museum !!
:4_17_5:
-
It is sweet :smitten:
