He had a bad face plant in practise and still carried on smiling,
for all you open face wearers, alan was wearing a full face when he crashed, how bad would he look now if it was an open face lid

No Bob it isn't and I doubt it'll be my last. Hardest was the one at Norwich about four years ago when I realised that jumping was easy but landing wasn't!! Still had twinges in my right shoulder for months afterwards although x-ray confirmed nothing broken. However, this landing was on the same shoulder so should have recurring pain for a while yet - it's an age thing!! I think my right leg hit the stem as I have a bruise and swelling just above the kneecap. Chin is looking a bit tender - should have taken the pic before I put the plaster on Ratty. Hardcore BMX - bring it on!! Humps

Alan, you look alot younger without glasses :)

Well done Alan, lots of new followers, good job you wore a full face.
Heres a link to a picture of the guy who did not the other week and crashed in the same spot as you.

Bumps, I'll give you some lessions in how to crash properly if you like... ;)
Hope your scabby chin clears up before next weekend, you'll scare my son.

I just saw the face of the fella that stacked it at Dagenham the other week. That looks proper nasty. My full face lid should be here tomorrow, I think I have been lucky so far but I dont want to risk it anymore!

Lessons from the uncrowned "King of Crash" , I'm honoured indeed. Thanks Miles. 8) I'll make sure I pick the scab off before Sunday so that Harry isn't frightened - better still I'll keep my bloodied fullface lid on!! See you next week m8. Humps
PS: Thanks to Ratty for giving me my own thread - I feel kinda honoured!! :4_17_5:

Alan is a lovely bloke and has picked me up out of the dirt at least once.
