Title: Tuff alloy hubs
Post by: munners on March 20, 2007, 02:26 PM
I picked up a set of black tuffs. The rear has had a new hub and has been screwed and bolted in!!! It obviously needs stainless steel rivits in them. Does anyone know or has anyone ever managed to find a place that would be able to put rivits in?? It would require a rivit setting machine.

cheers nick

The only thing I can suggest is to get an engineering company, or someone with a lathe to make up some rivits. If they copy the heads for one end you could then do the other end by hand using a suitably shaped rivit forming dolly.
I think I would find some bolts and do the front hub to match the rear. If you got replacement hubs from Skyway they had long screws and nyloc nuts to refit them anyway.

I am having some made by a friend of mine, he is also making a tool to fit them.

As soon as I have them, I will post a thread on here with Pic's  :daumenhoch:

I think there will be quite a demand  ::)
