Stace, d is the top cartrdge bearing
Take the frame and headset to a shop and get them to fit it, they have proper tools to press the cups in and seat the bottom race on the fork crown

As everyone has pointed out D is the top bearing (sealed cartridge type), you should also have a set of angular contact needle rollers for the bottom (F) and there should be a seal for the crown race (G).

The crown race on those Sky Pilots can be a bugger to fit careful you don't break it or it won't seal properly. I took my last one to my local shop and they let me use the correct tool to fit it myself (nice chaps).

Rough gits  :LolLolLolLol:

How it SHOULD be done:-
first ream and face the headtube to make it all nice and square,

then press in the cups

after determining the correct length cut he steerer down

then grease and pop together and it will run smooth and last longer :daumenhoch:

Probably. It should fit into the recess that's on the crown race :daumenhoch:
