I've just fitted a front axle rebuild kit to my Skyway and come to fit it on my Gen1 forks and it wont go through the gap in the forks!!! >:( >:(
The axle doesn't have the usual flat spots on it like the old one. Has anyone else bought one of these and is it the same. ie. without the flat bits on it ???
What can I do :'( :'( Help.
Cheers
Andy.

Cheers for the info chubs. I've just spoke to my mate who's an engineer and he says he will take it into work and grind some flats in it without affecting the thead , says it's easy apparently ??? So hopefully should get sorted soon :daumenhoch:

its cos youve got a rear axle.....front skyway axles are already fat on two sides to allow you to fit them in slotted type forks
Dave
ps...dont grind the gen 1 forks.

I've mailed Biagio to ask him for his comments about it cos I got it from him.
