Post by: rustybike on March 27, 2007, 03:42 PM
If you are buying these look out for the postage costs.   Quite often i see things and dont check the postage, snipe and forget about it.

I wonder what would happen if you won them at 99p and then you said youd go and pick them up?

They do it to save on ebay fees on the final selling price, as you don't have to pay them on postage...

You go through the safety centre and click on the links to complain about excessive postage. It's there in b&w now, he's stated he's done this to get his price and that's a big no-no in ebay rules....

In my opinion MX900/1000's should only be used with tech 2/3 levers, tech 4's don't strike me as era correct, am i wrong or just anal?

......and i do think he's a tw@t with the misleading, cheapskate ad!

I'm tempted to buy them, then not pay for them because of the unfair postage costs and go though ebay - he won't get his listing fee or final value fee back because he's breaking the rules. Sure, I won't get the brakes, but I don't want them :2funny:

......but I can't be arsed :LolLolLolLol:

The blokes a tw@t.

Set yerself a starting price or a reserve price.  That way people will actually bid on it if they want it and not think what a knob.

What does happen though if you did win it at 99p and told him you didn't have paypal and that you'd post him a cheque. Then you'd have his address. Then go around there and tell him you decided to pick them up in person to save on postage.
