it will have been thrown away by someone who couldn't be bothered to check if anyone would be interested in it.

One man's junk is another man's treasure.

How much stuff do you reckon we've all chucked away looking at it as junk?  There is always someone, somewhere who is collecting it and will pay a very reasonable price.
There will be lots of people aware of new school bmx, but are unaware of us lot with our old ways.  They'll see a 25 year old TA bike as clutter thinking no one will want it as everyone would want a new bike.  They'll think they may get a couple of quid if they're lucky, so for that it's not worth the grief so will bin it instead.

Nice score on the Tuffs. Check the bearing cups for cracks before you go riding.
I checked out an old bike/mower shop last saturday. The guy said it was all old stuff so he took it all to the tip! I nearly hit him on the spot. I was so bummed out.
It's still out there. I see a kid riding a mint MX2 to school everyday. It's complete too. He's a slippery little bugger though. I can never catch him in the work van.
