Title: 3 Piece Profile Install
Post by: Stace on March 28, 2007, 06:54 AM
Peeps,

Profile crank should be turning up before the weekend and I've never fitted a 3 piece.

Who wants to step up to the plate and give me instructions pref with pictures !!!  :daumenhoch: :daumenhoch:

Its gonna be right hand drive and I'll obviously need to fit the sprocket as well so all help appreciated !!!

Thanks
Stace  :daumenhoch: :daumenhoch:

give us a shout if you get stuck.

thing to remember with profiles, is that the bearing cases never fully sink into the frame on one side, because the spacer stops it doing so. this is correct. dont forrce it all the way in or you may damage your bearings. softly softly catchy monkey.

Why not grinding a bit the spacer tube to have the cups properly fitted then ?

its only about 1mm. i suppose you could grid the tube, but you risk getting it uneven, which will make your bearings run like a sack of shit.

I had the same problem, so I used a piece of 22mm copper tubing.

It fits great, and is easy to cut to exact size you want.
