I've gotta admit its turned out better than the picture I had in mi head ,when getting the parts together

It had to have Motomags and vinyl pads :smitten:

Thanks for your comments , they are very much appreciated !  ;)
Especially from people who have built bikes I have been bowled over by !
Chuffed  to bits :)  :daumenhoch:

That looks the dogs matey  :coolsmiley:

How did you get the wheels to come up that good ?
Title: Re: New build 81 Goose
Post by: hunterdubber on March 31, 2007, 11:52 AM
I must've spent over 20 hours on those wheels and managed to get 75%  a chrome like finish ,using wire drill attachments , assorted polishing heads and lots of wet and dry .But the rest of the more intricate areas were nigh on impossible to get the same as . :(
If you get any of these wheels you'll see the oxidisation on them is just soul destroying to remove, and I wouldn't advise  you to try something more harsh .
In the end I ended up spending £40 on some special hard wearing spray paint from Germany . It's done a great job though  :)
